Explanation

DFD: Digital Film Digital - these Labs offer to print your digital film (which can also be a scan of analog original material) onto film and process it, to bring your edit the final look.

Scanning notes: Scanning resolution depends on the format being scanned. A 4K Scanner might only deliever 4K on a super35-sized imager and will only resolve 2K on a super16 sized imager. Also the actual frame might resolve less resolution as most scanner do scan parts of the perforation, resulting in less pixels on the scan.
